Forest Dragon

Retopologized Photogrammetry model of a dragon figurine

Steps:

-Scanned dragon figurine with 'Polycam' on the i-pad

-Imported scan into Blender to retoplogize mesh

-UV Unwrapped the new mesh

-Baked original texture onto the low poly mesh

-Filled in baking errors via photoshop with handpainted textures

Lessons:

-Retopologized mesh can have more faces to allow more detail in the model silhouette (ie. making the spine ridges more pronounced)

-Not using the mirror modifier on such a heavily asymmetrical mesh. (Caused a lot of issues with texture baking)

-Attempt to pay more attention to the creation of proper face loops so adding edge loops is predictable
